Hey everyone. I just wanted to get a couple words out there to go along with this video review just in case we missed anything.
For context - We like to go out to dinner about once a month… twice if we can find a nice discount, a coupon, or a gift card. When we go out we try to take note of the atmosphere and service, in addition to the food and drinks. The food can be meh, but if the overall vibe is great we will definitely come back. If the vibe is bad, we will only consider giving a second chance just to do our own sanity check and only after a lot of time has passed.
The Greene Turtle somehow became an outlier. We put it up on a pedestal for some mysterious reason and didn’t follow our own rules. Maryland bestows this prestige and allure upon The Turtle. There’s this pedigree that comes with the franchise because it’s an Ocean City staple (the Maryland side, of course). I think we just get caught up in that and let it cloud our judgement.
We’ve been to three different Greene Turtles on three different occasions and it has been weirdly bad each time. I think we gave them a second and third chance because the experiences were bad for a weird reason but the vibes were good. This last trip had bad vibes on top of weird service and bland food. The servers were nice, but that’s about the best I can say for them. Unfortunately (I shouldn’t even say “unfortunately” because that sounds like I’m thinking of them in a good light), we can’t give them anymore passes. Sorry Maryland fam.
If you’re wondering why we did this review in the car… We’ve been vlogging our journey as part-time food delivery drivers. We spend a few of our our weeknight evenings doing DoorDash and Uber Eats trying to pull in some extra revenue. Posting it on YouTube was a fun way for Rob to get more consistent practice editing too! If' you’d like to see that series go check out the YouTube channel for more.
Until next time,
Peace Up In The Grill & Love The World!
