August 2019. The last time we went on vacation.
We’ve spent the last 4 years planning, prepping, adjusting, and moving our WHOLE life around to make things work and have FINALLY taken a vacation.
This wasn’t even a family vacation. It was just Sherry and I taking a weekend away from EVERYTHING. Away from all of our stressors, all of our drama (well, mostly mine), and all of our issues. Some time alone, to ourselves, finally.

I think it is important to remember to relax while on vacation. I tend to think a LOT when I’m driving, so on this road trip I was trying to be mindful of that. It’s good to remember that when you’re on vacation you aren’t supposed to stress and worry. A little bit of stress keeps you sharp, but we have so much to go around that I had to just focus on the road, the scenery, and keep it moving.
Destressing and decompressing was the goal for the weekend and we made it work. Sherry’s planning allowed us to get to our destination and The DigiKast Rulebook for Travel on a Budget (tm) was in full effect.
In the next coming week’s we will be releasing vlogs about our trip to Myrtle Beach. We hope that you stick around to watch and enjoy and hopefully learn something in the process. We created The DigiKast as a way to show others that you can travel on a budget as low as ours. It’s not easy but you can make it work if you try!
